Last night's gala event with the New York Symphony drew a crowd of Manhattan's best and glitziest. While the musicians played some beautiful classical selections, it was the beautiful people we were looking out for! There were your usual actors and actresses (BLIND ITEM: Which Oscar winner was caught in a verrrry intimate conversation with her much younger co-star??), but for this reporter's money, the biggest splash was made by socialites Gavin and Olivia Doran.

Gavin Doran has made a name for himself in the New York real estate market, and his success has made him and his lovely wife a staple of Manhattan society. Mrs. Doran could not have been more stunning as she worked the room at the cocktail party for symphony patrons.

But a good number of the whispers around the room were actually about the Dorans' companions for the evening, a young couple who probably would have flown under the radar if not for the woman's stunning red Alexander McQueen gown. None of my spies could recognize her -- a legitimate fresh face! -- but it seems that Olivia Doran's glamorous influence is rubbing off.
